All my prints are created by hand using traditional non-digital processing and archival darkroom techniques. You will notice that because I use traditional darkroom methods, the prints have a different feel than digital images.
I create all the original negatives used and print each by hand, allowing me to maintain complete creative control of my images.
I utilize medium format Hasselblad cameras as my mainstay, and use 4x5 and 35mm when necessary.
My prints are created with a ZBE Starlight enlarger and a 20" Fujimoto CP51 processor, utilizing archival materials throughout the process.
My primary focus remains coastal and rural, particularly in northern California. I spend much of my time traveling around the West coast, returning to the same location time after time, to capture just the right light and weather.
I'm not sure how long I'll be able to create prints in this way since at some point I expect the supply of materials needed for this process to dry up.
